Handbag - part one

This is for Roo who wants to know what a woman may have in the handbag. Surely he means "handbags", right? This is (one of) my party handbag(s); lipstick, phone, Fisherman's Friend, lipgloss, some cash (which means I did not bring Husband with wallet). Keys? I never know where they are... And as can be seen, I cannot fit my system camera in this tiny bag.

Hur fabelns!

I laughed out loud when I saw it, brilliant and thank you. However I did notice that this is just a party bag.... I'd hate to see a Weekender!

I like your profile photo, could this be a shadow of your normal self?

Julie says she doesn't use a handbag very often. She has most things in her pockets. Just like my mother, Julie. In the 1970s she was very cool with jeans, leather jacket and no handbag - yet very feminine :)
Roo - I like your Swedish! Amazing you remember it, since I suppose you don't hear it very often in the UK. My Weekender is much more interesting than my handbag. Just wait and see ;) Glad you like my profile photo. It's from September - in a bath hut - and yes, it's the shadow of my self, although how normal that is I don't know...

I found Swedish totally incomprehensible, until I looked at it written down and listened to an old friend (He was Dutch actually)

I think that coming from the North East of England helps too, simply because of the huge Scandinavian influence on the language and place names. We have a lot of place names ending in "by", Whitby, Maltby, Aislby, Thornaby and the best influence is a word I use for small child "bairn" (typically Scottish)which has to come from "barn". I also substitute "no" with "nay" another common regional accent substitute, whcih has to derive from "nej". I always smile when I think of child minder - if I recall it's "barnflicker"? or something similar

There you go o)
